Who we are

Mevale ("the app"), built by RvaByte, helps Shopify merchants track orders sold on payment terms and send payment reminders. This policy explains what data the app touches and why — in plain language, because you actually read this page.

What we collect, and why

• Order data — order name, amounts, currency, payment terms, due dates. Used to build your receivables dashboard and know when an invoice is overdue.
• Customer contact data — name, email, company name. Used solely to address and personalize the payment reminders you configure. We request only the customer fields the app needs to function.
• Your settings — email templates, escalation schedule, sender configuration. Used to run the app the way you set it up.

What we never do

• We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
• We do not use customer data for advertising or profiling.
• We do not send any email except the payment reminders you configure, through the email delivery service and sender identity you connect.

Data retention and deletion

Data lives only as long as the app is installed. We honor Shopify's privacy webhooks automatically: customer-deletion requests strip that customer's personal data from our records, and within 48 hours of uninstalling the app all of your store's data is permanently purged.

Data processing

Data is processed on hosted infrastructure in the United States and is transmitted only between Shopify, the app, and the email delivery provider you connect. Reminder emails are sent through your own email provider account (e.g., Resend) using credentials you supply.
